There is more to Temple than meets the eye.
Temple Men’s Basketball suffered one of its most disappointing losses of the season on January 20. The Owls lost to Rice, who had yet to win an American Athletic Conference game, after surrendering a five-point lead in the final six minutes of one of their most winnable conference games. Temple hasn’t won a game since its win against Wichita State on January 7. The Owls are currently on a remarkable 10-game losing run, the longest since former head coach Don Casey’s 11 losses in 1975-76.
Things are clearly not going well when a club loses ten games in a row, and head coach Adam Fisher’s tenure appears to be off to a rocky start from the outside. However, a closer look at how the Owls are losing these games suggests the team isn’t as bad as it appears. “We’ve gotta figure out how to get over the hump, and we know that,” Fisher stated. “There is no moral victory for us.” We’ve got to work this out.”
