While some coaches avoid the subject of commitment, Dan Lanning has been unequivocal about his devotion to Oregon during the previous two seasons. Still, when a job like Alabama becomes available, Lanning has earned the right to be mentioned for the position after leading the Ducks to a 22-5 record in his first head coaching stint.
