Players’ suspended lists for breaking gaming regulations

WR Calvin Ridley of Atlanta. For the whole of the season suspended. The 2018 draft’s 26th pick received punishment for wagering on NFL games in 2021 while the player was away from the Falcons tending to mental health issues. March 2023 saw his reinstatement, and he currently plays for Jacksonville.

 

December 23:

 

Miles Austin, the wide receivers coach for the Jets, was suspended for a year for wagering on sports other than football. Austin would not join the staff again if the league restored him, according to comments made by Jets coach Robert Saleh in January 2023.

 

April 21, 2023:

 

Q.T. Quintez Cephus of Detroit, C.J. Moore of Detroit, and Shaka Toney of Washington, DE: Suspended for an extended period of time for wagering on NFL games during the 2022 season. After their suspensions, Cephus and Moore were both let go by Detroit.

 

Detroit wide receiver Stanley Berryhill and Jameson Williams, the 12th overall selection in the 2022 draft, will both serve six-game suspensions. Following the ban, Detroit released Berryhill.

 

June 29:

 

Indianapolis CB Isaiah Rodgers Sr., DE Rashod Berry, DT Demetrius Taylor: Suspended indefinitely. The Colts waived all three soon after the trio was suspended for gambling on NFL games last season. None can seek reinstatement until after the season.

 

Tennessee RT Nicholas Petit-Frere: Suspended six games for betting while at an NFL facility as a rookie. Because of the Titans’ bye, he won’t be able to play again until Oct. 29 when Tennessee hosts Atlanta.
